  20. Operation Riptide has come to a close, but all of the game modes introduced in Riptide will live on, including short competitive matches and free-for-all deathmatch. Those of you who still have stars to spend can claim operation rewards until March 27th. Turning the Tide Today we’re swapping some of the community maps in CS:GO. Basalt, Ravine, Extraction, Insertion II, and County have been removed, and six new maps have entered the pool.   21. The first Major Championship of 2022 will be hosted by PGL in Antwerp, Belgium, and will be held in the massive Antwerps Sportpaleis arena! Viewers at home can tune in to the 4k broadcast of the Major from May 9-22, while those attending in person can pick up tickets for the playoffs, which will be held May 19-22. The CS:GO team reviewed over 15,000 entries from artists around the world and selected 17 weapon finishes to ship in the case. Each winning entry received $100,000 USD, for a grand total prize pool of $1.7 million.
